We already have achieved progress in lots of areas of our operations to be a cleaner company and have started looking at further areas we can improve. Here are the some of the efforts we have already made:

• Our vehicles are the latest Euro6 spec so as environmentally friendly as possible.
• Vehicles are generally set to ‘Economy’ level in order to maximum fuel efficiency and we monitor these levels
• Reach trucks are modern electric powered trucks.
• We have introduced a computerised Traffic Management system and Warehouse Management system which has decreased our paper usage.
• Invoices & POD’s etc are almost 100% sent electronically.
• We have removed our electric immersion boiler hot water system and replaced with 3 x 10l under counter water heaters.
• We have replaced much of our lighting with low energy LED bulbs.
• We recycle our waste. The company we use guarantee that all waste is (hand) sorted at their depot for recycling including cardboard, tins, bottles paper etc.
• We recycle wood (pallets mainly).
• Our website is hosted in the UK in a state-of-the-art data centre using the latest in security technologies running on 100% renewable energy with a PUE of 1.12. PUE stands for power usage efficiency, and lower is better.

To start 2022 we made an investment in a new electronic forklift from SWIE – a Mitsubishi Edia EM range FB18 Electric Forklift.

We know the importance of moving from gas to electric and we were extremely impressed by its compact design yet spacious cab, the Edia EM is the most intelligent and the most agile electric forklift on the market.

The Edia EM range is packed with features, it delivers the manoeuvrability, power and reliability you would expect from a Mitsubishi Forklift.

The spacious yet enclosed cab will be really appreciated by the staff, particularly on those colder and wetter mornings!
